Role Purpose
We’re looking for someone passionate about fairness, community, and making a real difference to join our small but mighty team as a DIAL Adviser.
In this role, you’ll support people with health conditions or a disability to live more independently, understand their rights, and access vital services, whether it’s benefits, housing, employment, or wellbeing.
You’ll be offering advice that truly changes lives, via phone, email, video calls, and face-to-face depending on circumstances.

- Social & Leisure Opportunities
- Independent Living & Equipment
- Health & Wellbeing
- Refer clients to internal and external services, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Develop and maintain accessible information resources for clients and staff.
- Stay informed about relevant benefits, legislation, and training opportunities.
- Maintain accurate client records on our case management system and follow up to ensure positive outcomes.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience in advice or rights-based roles. • Ability to identify and locate complex information from trusted sources
- Ability to consider this in relation to each client’s enquiry, and to formulate their options
- Ability to interpret and convey complex information clearly to a range of clients, empowering them to understand their rights and responsibilities and to make decisions based on these.
- Knowledge of welfare entitlements, especially for disabled people and carers.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages specifically outlook.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience working with disabled people or those facing daily challenges.
- Familiarity with the Equality Act (2010) and the Care Act (2014).

Our mission is to represent, include, support and empower (RISE) people living with a long-term health condition or disability, their families and carers in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
