The entire site is reasonably acessible with most areas of interest on one level, and there are small slopes which wheelchair users have to negotiate in order to visit the Hospital Room and Education Centre.

The Screech Owl Sanctuary opened 25 years ago to provide care and rehabilitation for sick and injured wild owls in Cornwall. To ensure their safe release into the wild on recovery or, if permanently disabled, to provide a comfortable home in a suitable environment.
