Although the centre isn't fully accessible, we were provided with a map showing two alternative routes. There were a number of ramps which made these areas accessible, but I was glad to have a pusher.

On arrival staff informed us that the building is a listed structure and they have not yet been able to install a lift.

The staff at the centre seem well informed regarding the services they can offer to people with disbilities.
If you are interested in finding out more about this integral part of Cornwall's heritage and its continuing relationship with the sea, there is nowhere better to visit than the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre, near St Austell.
