Disability Cornwall, as a member of BCODP, is proud to launch a new Internet
based job finding service for disabled people. The site, developed and run in
partnership with other disability organisations across the country, is designed
to benefit any disabled person. If you are looking for work locally, or want to
search more widely, want to work full or part time, or just want to market your
skills, the site can provide you with a gateway to potential employers.
CanDoindex advertises your skills and experience directly to employers. You decide how much, or how little information to give. The site does not carry information about your impairment. Your details are posted on the web, for potential employers to view. If your experience and skills match with what an employer wants, they complete a short on-line invitation asking you to apply for a post.
Until you receive a reply from an interested employer, there is no cost to you. One you receive your first response the system asks you to subscribe at a cost of £5 a year. This subscription is a one-off payment for the year, regardless of the number of enquiries you receive.
As a subscriber the system sends you employers enquiries as soon as they are received. The details of the enquiry are sent to your email address and an alert goes to your mobile phone.
